World-renowned University of Warwick string players, the Coull Quartet, and Leamington blues-folk singer/songwriter Ben Clempson are recreating the polar music fusion of the BBC’s Electric Proms with an exclusive concert at The Herbert, Coventry, on 22 November.

PBR would like to congratulate the organisers of Leam'n'Aid on raising £2,114 for Warchild, a fantastic result that bares testiment to all their hard work. Pillar Box were there looking after sound on the acoustic stage, and number of the sets were recorded.

The second Pillar Box Podcast, featuring more top acoustic indie songwriting, went live today. It features two songs by the very popular Coventry-based singer-songwriter Kristy Gallacher, as well as songs by Leamington Spa-based band Stars and the supremely talented songwriter Finn.

Pillar Box are doing their bit by providing the PA and sound engineer for the acoustic stage at the annual event. The first Pillar Box Records podcast was launched today to a packed crowd at Nomi Art in Leamington. The debut podcast has an indie-folk flavour and features Jen Lexmond (Influences: Ani Difranco, The Shins, Rilo Kiley), Ben Clempson (John Martyn, Paul Simon, Gomez) and Oswald 24 (Damien Rice, Nick Drake, Belle and Sebastion).

Nizlopi bassist John Parker will appear on PBR artist Ben Clempson's forthcoming album. The currently untitled LP, which will also feature an appearance from Shanade Morrow, is due to be finished early next year with a release scheduled for the summer.
High Rising Launch Party

High Rising are launching their new CD on Saturday the 21st of October at the Jug and Jester in Leamington.
The new EP was recorded over the summer with PBRs Ben Ablewhite responsible for engineering and mixing the record.

Jen Lexmond Records Record with PBR

Jen Lexmond has recorded a new EP with Pillar Box Records, tentatively titled the PBR EP. Working with producer and guest musician Ben Ablewhite, the EP is now mastered and ready to go to presses for release in August.
Jen is also appearing on the inaugural PBR Podacast, also due for release in August.
