Podcast #2 now available

The second Pillar Box Podcast, featuring more top acoustic indie songwriting, went live today. It features two songs by the very popular Coventry-based singer-songwriter Kristy Gallacher, as well as songs by Leamington Spa-based band Stars and the supremely talented songwriter Finn.

Recorded in late-2006 at Noisegate Studio, the podcast showcases the artists giving relaxed, natural performances of some of their finest material.

Kristy is well known on the local music scene for her charming performances and folky songs with clever, witty lyrics. She has already been the subject of attention from various record companies and is surely destined for big things.

Stars emerged from the ashes of well-respected and popular band Wish in mid-2006 and are notable for their empassioned performances of beautifully constructed songs, characterised by singer Ross's powerful and unique vocals remeniscent of the Longpigs' Crispin Hunt.

Finn, cousin of Nizlopi's Luke Concannon has been performing as a solo singer-songwriter around Leamington and London for about four years now and has developed an instantly recognisable style with rythmic guitar, tender, natural-sounding vocals and very affecting songs that quickly grab an audience's attention.
