How Does it Work?

The Pillar Box Records online CD store provides an artist friendly and straightforward way for bands to sell their music online. As PBR have CD duplication facilities we do not ask for you to send us a stack of CDs instead we produce CDs on demand as and when people order them. Although we are producing CDs one at a time, we charge as if we were producing 100 at a time and then give up to 70% of the profit to you, the artist.

Every three months we send you a report on the number of CDs sold, and if you are in profit by more than £10 we send you a royalty cheque.

How Much Does the Artist Make?

We sell albums for £10 and EPs for £5, these prices include VAT and P&P. As the cost of producing an album is the similar to that of an EP the profit on album’s is considerably higher, so you make £0.75 on every EP sold and £3 on every album sold.

How Much Does It Cost?

There is an initial fee of £25 + VAT (£29.38), this includes the administration cost of adding your CD to the shop and your first 10 EPs or 5 albums.
